Airplane landing on highway 405

Once in awhile I’ll break out the laptop, get onto Google Images or Google Video and sit with the kids to look at fire engines, trains, starfish, crabs, or other things they’ve been exposed to and want to see. Tonight one of the topics was airplanes. I did a simple search to find some footage of a plane landing [something they’ve seen first hand] and came across this gem. They lost interest quickly but I thought it was quite funny… blogworthy funny.

  1. Yeah, that short film – “405” – was a rather interesting viral video a few years back. I love the over-the-top reactions of the driver (why didn’t he just STOP when he saw the plane coming up behind him?), and – of course – the last … uh, word which the little old lady gets in.

More details on the film, the making of it, several notable mistakes, etc. can be found on the official site: http://www.405themovie.com/

  2. Early on at TiVo we had a deal with iFilm to distribute some of the popular shorts hosted at their site. “405” was the most popular one at the time. We got a lot of positive reaction after it aired. I’ll tell you, the movie is a lot more effective on a big TV screen than on a computer monitor.
